Community Leadership Associate

Srishtee is serving as a Community Leadership Associate at the Goldin Institute via the AmeriCorps program, Public Allies. Like Alexis, she has dedicated 10 months to capacity building and furthering the Institute's mission. Through her involvement with event planning and small-scale community organizing, specifically with the South Asian demographic, she has worked in issues such as the rape crisis and domestic violence in India. Trained in the classical Indian dance form Bharatnatyam for eleven years, Srishtee hopes to encompass creative and artistic solutions to real-world topics. Srishtee is also a trained in Circle-Keeping, an innovative method in restorative justice. She is currently finishing her Bachelor’s in Psychology and English with a concentration in Pre-Law, and aims to gain a J.D. in Human Rights Law in the future. Srishtee is excited to learn from the Goldin Institute and expand her horizons in international work, something that has always been a dream of hers. In her free time, Srishtee likes to read and play with her puppy, Legolas. She lives in Chicago, IL.
