Devonta Boston, “TGi Tae”, is the founder and CEO of TGi where he is dedicated to increasing pathways and opportunities for youth in Black and Brown communities and shifting the narrative about the community at 63rd street and the broader Chicago Lawn community.  Devonta is a Southwest side native, activist, spoken word artist, community organizer, entrepreneur, and designer. He has been a community organizer since his freshman year in high school (2011) and believes that the change must start with us and it cannot wait. He argues that the hood needs long-term plans with “right-now” impacts.
