As a Human Servant, Jamika Smith inspires others to live a more fulfilling, loving, and joyful life. Through Teena’s Legacy, Mrs. Smith reconnects people with their inner wisdom and life purpose in order to discover what they really want in life and achieve it with ease and grace. Mrs. Smith graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a B.A. in Human Environmental Sciences, and later earned a M.A in Community Development from North Park University in Chicago. Mrs. Smith is particularly interested in models of human and social development that employ participatory community-driven approaches. Mrs. Smith is currently the Founder and Executive Director of Teena’s Legacy, a not-for-profit charitable organization whose mission is to create a safe space for young women and women in general to explore their authentic self using upholstery as an conduit for self-reflection, self-expression and economic transformation.
