Trevor Lester is the Alumni Advocate and Author Circle Facilitator with the ConTextos Chicago Project. Trevor is from the Southside of Chicago and at the age of 20 he was incarcerated for a crime he didn’t commit. He spent 9 years in the Cook County jail awaiting trial before the charges were ultimately dropped. He is now a published author who helps other writers tell their stories as an Author Circle Facilitator. He is focused on using his unique journey of empowerment to inspire youth and his peers while continuing to amplify the voices of excluded or marginalized communities.
