Amadou has worked in the context of security reinforcement in Mali. He has carried out several community activities, and initiated local and community actions, in order to bring better stability and security to the Sahel in general and to Mali in particular. He has worked with several customary chiefs (as he himself is from the Boni chieftaincy family) which includes traditional leaders, religious and community leaders, local elected officials, deputies and leaders of self-defence movements and civil movements in various areas of Mali and neighbouring regions. He has worked on Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) processes and projects with ex-combatants. He has participated in several meetings and missions to identify areas of tension, terrorist movements, the causes of insecurity, and awareness for peace and social cohesion in the villages.
