Beatriz Cabanillas Saez

2023 Goldin Global Fellow (Spanish)

Beatriz is a Sociologist from the University of Concepción (Southern Chile), which is where she also resides. She holds a Master’s degree in International Humanitarian Action and Human Rights from the University of Deusto, Spain. She has worked in university teaching and research projects with a focus on human rights. She has worked as an independent consultant for international cooperation organizations such as OXFAM, UNDP, the Ford Foundation, and Italian Cooperation, as well as for the National Institute of Human Rights. Currently, she is involved in a cultural management working network where she is interested in cultural accessibility. She is a member of the national disability collective, CONADIS Chile. In her roles, she seeks to make the cultural field accessible, raise awareness about situations of discrimination, and contribute to spaces of collective knowledge.
