Martha is a Venezuelan refugee currently residing in Peru. She has worked as a consultant for Care-Peru in characterizing the Venezuelan migrant population in Peru. She has also served as the coordinator of the “Formaliza” project for the migrant population at the NGO Asociación Grupo de Trabajo Redes (AGTR). She has held leadership positions in civil society organizations within the Venezuelan community, for example she was the president of the Association of Venezuelan Ladies in Peru. Currently, she is the president and founder of the Association for the Protection of Vulnerable Populations (APPV), which focuses on assisting the most disadvantaged sectors such as children, adolescents, LGBTQ+ population, and individuals living with HIV and Lupus. Through her organization, she works towards the integration of the Venezuelan migrant and refugee community with the host population, through service campaigns that meet the basic needs of both groups.
