Sergio was born and raised in Havana, Cuba in 1972. After completing his studies, he specialised as an intensive care nurse, pursued four years of medicine, and later studied Philosophy and Theology. He is the General Coordinator of the “Palomas” project, where he combines audiovisual art and social activism. Additionally, he coordinates a solidarity and public welfare network with over 5,700 people across the country. Through the communication experience of the “Palomas” project, they have built a broad network of activists throughout the country who have fostered a culture of peace and dynamics that promote gender justice, environmental justice, and social justice.
